Bone tired, cold and wet after a long day of motorcycle riding this diamond in the rough was a welcome relief for my weary body. Simple, unpretentious, plenty of good food, drink and good conversation. Not everyone's cup of tea but I will certainly be back.

I stayed here May 12, 2025 while on a solo bicycle tour from Victoria, B.C. to Fairbanks. Agree that it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. After a long bike ride, I just needed a lot of tea. Meziadin Junction boasts a gas/diesel station, a small store, and a series of ACCO trailers reminiscent of a project crew camp. My guess is the Gitanyow bought the equipment used from a remote project to use as a hotel and restaurant. It was fine for me. I paid the day rate which included a single bed, Internet, dinner, breakfast and a take-along lunch assembled in the morning. Evidently a sow and three spring cubs were making the rounds just outside and had the employees on high alert. I left the next morning, refreshed and happy.
We had the most amazing stay the staff here , especially the manager Justina Johnson made this the best stay we've had yet! She went above and beyond to make sure we were beyond happy and that we would come back. I would highly recommend this neat little place to anyone travelling! The food is always made fresh and is soo yummy!! Definitely an amazing place and fantastic staff!!! Thanks soo much
At the end of the day, it's a man camp; mostly suited for folks working in the area. Food/room ran $140 CAD a night. Private but shared bathrooms/showers.
Friendliest staff both at the kitchen and the gas bar. Very clean, very organized. One of the best things to have as a last stop before going up north, good food and good people.
Kind of an odd restaurant. It was set up like a cafeteria but you just pay for a burger or whatever the special was And they come bring it to you. It felt awkward but charming in a weird way. Food was decent.
